The City
Madrid is an elegant capital city, famous for its wide avenues and beautiful parks, its sophisticated restaurants and museums, the most important of which is the Prado, home to some of the world's finest paintings. Exciting, surprising and different, Madrid is the ideal city in which to learn Spanish.

Spring Weather in March and April can be changeable - on some days warm enough to enjoy the pavement cafes, but on others temperatures can be similar to those of winter. It is however, a good time to visit the city, with floral displays lining the boulevards and the parks.
Temperatures in July and August can rise to 40 degrees centigrade. The city's open air swimming pools and aqua parks open in June. Many of the local residents escape the heat of August by leaving Madrid for their vacation. This means that the traffic on the roads is dramatically reduced making this a pleasant month to visit the city.
